James Kerr

Crass "Yes Sir, I Will"

"Why? Gee Vaucher. Her art had such a profound impact on my life. I honestly believe that if it wasn't for her art that I'd probably still wouldn't be making art. That's not to take anything away from the rest of the band. When I was younger, I would spend hours listening to Crass albums, reading the liner notes, and being awed by the artwork. I was never able to share this with anybody, as most of my friends were either into metal or punk from California. I forgot about Crass, sometime during high school, 'til one of my roommates had a friend come up and visit from Jersey armed with a case full of British punk from the early eighties (Doom, Conflict, the Subhumans, Flux of Pink Indians, etc). Since, I've slowly be buying back a lot of the old stuff I used to listen to, on vinyl whenever possible, except for Crass -- I've got all those."

James Kerr is, as some people say, a Montreal based artist. He has shown art both as part of the YPF and as a Republic (unrecognized).
