Jamaica to Toronto bring it to Montreal for POP

Many of Canada's finest expatriate Jamaican Ska, Soul, Funk, Blue Beat and Reggae musicians (with recording credits ranging from Studio One, Jackie Mittoo to Bob Marley) used to play together regularly on Toronto's famed Yonge Street over 30 years ago. Their music which was recently re-discovered and re-issued as a compilation by Seattle indie label Light In The Attic as "Jamaica to Toronto: Soul, Funk and Reggae 1967-1974" has created a frenzy amongst global music sampling producers, retro-soul lovers, old school funksters and dub and reggae music junkies. Bolstered by overwhelming concert attendance and media support in Canada and abroad, come witness Canadian music history as "Jamaica to Toronto: Soul, Funk and Reggae 1967-1974" touches down for their Montreal debut featuring Jay Douglas (The Cougars, Ernest Ranglin), Everton Paul (Jackie Mittoo, Wayne McGhie),The Mighty Pope and more!
