By popular demand and according to the results we got from last month's poll, Pop Montreal will be renting bikes for the festival with the help of the bike repairing, renting and selling shop Vélomakak!

To enhance your whole Pop Montreal experience, you should seriously think about getting one! It is a new service that we are offering this year, and the best way to get around town during the festi. Renting a bike will cost 50$ for the week, which is a lot less that you would pay in other stores that charge at least 25$ a day. Even better, you will be allowed to keep the bike at night. We will also take a 50$ deposit that you will get back upon the return of your vintage two-wheeled vessel on Sunday evening. You can only rent your bike by getting a ticket from this web service.

Helmets and locks are not included so please bring your own from home! Bicycle central will be located in the Notman House (also the main registration) at 51 Sherbrooke W. Trading your e-ticket for a bike and retreiving your deposit will take place there, from 11 AM to 6 PM from October 1 to 4 and from 11 AM to midnight on October 5.

We will also have special bike repair workshops during the festival, supplied by the awesome people at the Mile End Bike Garage! You will learn how to repair your bicycle instead of just watching someone do it. Ain't that pure DIY? We will have more details concerning this workshop in the coming weeks.
