Berithen Berio
This psychotropic duo landed in Montreal four years ago from Providence, Rhode Island. Comprised of brothers Brad and Andrew Barr, their performance weaves together intricacies and amusement while unfolding magical and energizing stories. The many years spent playing music in countless musical projects they have yet to fully offer their explorations as a duo to the public’s senses.

Harmonies et schizophrénie flirtent ensemble au sein des sombres
chansons pop de Darling DeMaes (qui, en effet, tiennent leur nom de
l’actrice porno du même nom). Bien que les arrangements sont complexes,
les mélodies – elles – demeurent homogènes.
In Montreal’s pop noir group, The Darling DeMaes (named after the tragic porn actress), sweet melodies and male-female-male harmonies meet a healthy dose of schizophrenia. Obsessive arrangements almost unnoticeably jump from section to section with an ease that somehow makes sense.
