$10,000 for Musicians!
Great Beer + Great Music = Great Times
We here at McAuslan Brewing love music. In fact, Founder & President Peter McAuslan is such a huge music fan he rarely goes into a new city without checking out local record stores in search of new music (ok, and maybe some classic vinyl records too!).
But with declining CD sales and funding cuts to the arts, we understand that it can be tough to be a musician these days. So we decided to create the St-Ambroise Music Program, a new initiative that awards $10,000 in cash to musicians! We want to do our part to help musicians continue to do what they do best: make great music that we can all enjoy (hopefully along with great beer!).
The $10,000 will be awarded to artists who perform at the Centre St-Ambroise, McAuslan Brewing's own live music venue, or who fill out an application form online.
So here's how it works:
The St-Ambroise Music Program will give away 1 Grand Prize of $5,000 plus five runner-up prizes of $1,000 each to artists and bands that have either booked a show at the Centre St-Ambroise or filled out the application form online by December 1st, 2009.
The Centre St-Ambroise is a live music venue located right on the brewery's property, and was nominated for “Best Live Show Room” at the 2008 SMIM Awards (Salon de la Musique Indépendante de Montreal).
The winning artists will be selected by a jury of music industry veterans, including staff at the Centre St-Ambroise, promoters, agents, managers and members of the media.

Book a show at the Centre St-Ambroise to be automatically eligible by sending an email to centrestambroise@mcauslan.com

If you are not able to perform at the Centre St-Ambroise, simply fill out the application form to be eligible for the program:
Artists and bands interested in applying for a grant should complete the application form (above) and e-mail it to centrestambroise@mcauslan.com by 5:00PM EST on December 1st, 2009.
PC users: In order to save the PDF file, right-click and select "Save Target As". Launch the downloaded PDF with "Acrobat", fill form electronically, then "SAVE AS". Return the filled form by email.
MAC users: Launch downloaded PDF with the "PREVIEW" application, fill form electronically, then "SAVE AS". Return the filled form by email.
