There will be loads of entertainment and interactive demonstrations on site over the course of the Kids Pop festival:
SATURDAY
Soapmaking: 11 am - 12 pm A local artisan will demonstrate Soapmaking, emphasizing organic and ecological products.
Toy Imagination Station: 11:30 – 2 pm
Imagine, design and build a prototype of your own toy using foam and recycled materials. Hosted by local professional toy designers!
The Segal Centre Showcase: 1:30 – 2:30 pm
A musical performance showcasing the educational offerings of the Segal Centre for the Performing Arts! Teen garage band Sam I Am will rock a set for us! Presented with an interactive demo from the MediaWorkshop.
CKUT Circuit Workshop Ensemble: 2:30 pm Members will perform on electronic circuit instruments that they built themselves. An interactive demonstration and question period will follow.
Take part in an interactive Throat Singing - Beatbox Choir demonstration with The Persuasions, hosted by the Symposium: 1:45 – 3:10 pm
CKUT City Sounds Treasure Hunt & Soundwalk: 2 - 4:30 pm Participants will go on a guided soundwalk through the Mile End neighbourhood to discover the unique and specific soundscape of the area (keep an ear out for cameos by local musicians!). Groups will record the sounds and their impressions of the soundscape, and a collage of the recordings will air on Anything Goes, a kids’ radio program that airs on CKUT 90.3 fm campus-community radio, Saturday mornings from 10-10:30am. Workshop participants will also receive CD copies of the complete sound collage.
SUNDAY
Puppets and Pancakes: 11 am – 1 pm A puppetry cabaret performed for all ages, Puppets and Pancakes will enjoy its third year of performing at Pop Montreal. The cabarets include: an eclectic assembly of performances genres, such as puppetry, clown, mime, toy theatre, shadow puppetry and video, and the distribution of mini-pancakes to audience members.

Percussion demo: 1:15 – 1:45 pm
There will be an interactive percussion show and instructional demonstration with the fabulous Stefan Schneider, who drums with Jorane and Bell Orchestre.
Dance Performance: 4 pm
Elle Paquette and friends will present an impromptu modern dance performance. They are cultivating their talent as students at the École Supérieure de Ballet Contemporain de Montréal.
