atelierDNHN

Montréal, QC

“Atelier DNHN is, above all, a tribute to local craftsmanship. Since September 2019, each piece has been designed, created, and made in Montreal from second-hand clothing, scraps, and end-of-line fabrics. The recovered materials are transformed into clothing, caps, hats, and various accessories, all unique and gender-neutral, inspired by work uniforms and sports and military aesthetics. Our production is rooted in ethical and ecological practices, and each creation is made with the utmost care in our Montreal workshop.

More than just textile recycling, our craftsmanship revisits an industrial past, blending it with timeless influences and handmade expertise.

The name denhien refers to the denier, a unit of measurement for textiles, symbolizing the unity and thread that connects each creation. Each piece follows this common thread: enhancing existing garments by creatively transforming them to breathe new life into them and leave our mark.

The acronym DNHN embodies the values of our workshop: Diversity, Nuances, Human, Native.
