bas de laine et mot coquin

I knit, I’ve always loved knitting, and I had the idea of making colourful striped socks, continuing the tradition of our grandmothers who used leftover wool. I sketch my collection in pencil and have fun combining colours to give them personality, each one crazier than the last. I offer an old-fashioned clothes peg on which I write a cheeky message… e.g. YOU’RE HOT WITH YOUR COOL SOCKS. MY HEART IS WITH YOU, BETTER TO BE DOWN AND OUT THAN DOWN AND OUT etc. etc. I also write the person’s name on the back of the peg… which makes it a great, original gift that warms the feet and the heart… for the whole family… I also make leggings and monkey puppets with a pair of stockings… and other accessories.
