POSIC

POSIC is a Haitian/Armenian Montreal-Based musician.

Singing since she was 10 in her grade school talent shows, she discovered a deeper passion through music. Now 23 years old, she has established herself as a musician, completely self-taught. Her drive and ambition push her to make sure her voice is heard. POSIC uses her songs to write vulnerable and personal lyrics that she isn’t able to say in her daily conversations. Her music is used as an outlet for the specific events and emotions she’s been through. Ranging from her experience with derealization all the way to personal experiences of racism in her daily life, she finds ways to say what she needs to say.

POSIC doesn’t only show her personality in her lyrics, but in the way her sounds bounce together. She has always felt as though she was in love with too many genres. She was never able to say she was “just one thing”. She takes influences from artists like Saya Gray, Brakence,Sampha and many more. POSIC challenges what categorizing music is supposed to look like. Her personality shines through the unique beats she creates, because she herself isn’t easy to describe.

Her most recent release was her debut EP “LemonSour”. The EP was inspired by the traumas and triumphs that led her to who she is not only as a musician but as a person. The purpose is that with POSIC’s music, She could reach people who need that relatability, who need that person who can say the things that they might not be able to say yet.
