Thunderheist

Thunderheist is a high-energy electronic duo that emerged in 2006, consisting of Montreal-based producer Grahm Zilla (Graham Bertie) and Nigerian-born, Toronto-raised vocalist Isis Salam. The pair famously formed over the internet, exchanging files before ever meeting in person—a testament to the digital landscape of the era.

Their sound is a potent mutation of american club music, rap, electro house and characterized by Zilla’s gritty, bass-heavy production and Isis’s sharp, commanding delivery. They gained international traction with their 2008 breakout single “Jerk It,” which became a staple in strip clubs, movies and fashion circuits. Their self-titled debut album, released in 2009, further solidified their reputation for creating sophisticated yet dancefloor-ready club anthems. Thunderheist remains a cult favorite for their unique cross-culture collaboration and commanding live performances.
